Here we go!

It feels like I blinked sometime in December, or I should say, November, and 2025 was already here just waiting for me to get started on those New Year goals. Yup, still working on those. Maybe some of you, like me, felt like you didn't even get to sink your teeth into the holidays, and now it's -back to school, back to work, back to all the commitments that make up our non- holiday lives . Yet. God's grace meets us here once again. Selah

At our home church, here at Evangel, we have been collectively fasting and seeking God this month to hear what's on His heart for 2025 as we are stepping into it.

It almost feels like we're gearing for battle and yet there has been this overarching theme of PRESENCE along with a desire to grow in our awareness and response to it.

There's a strong beckoning to stay hungry for it -beyond just a church gathering or collective worship times.

And yes, it sometimes feels like all hell breaks loose right when we're pressing in. Back to the battle mode previously mentioned.

Yet.

His Presence will always provide us with the best vantage point- it's where we receive what's needed and required to live it out this assurance of things hoped and be ready to"bank on" the evidence of things not seen- aka. faith.

In His Presence I'm compelled to lay it all down at the altar again (why do some things don't just stay dead!) - when the Martha in me forgets the one thing Mary grasped. The very thing that should make my world go round and sustain me, should never be in the backseat or the passenger seat- it should be the driver.

So I refresh. I reset.

I personally feel like it's going to be year of consecration that will give birth to new level of response and activation in many lives.

I know that's my heart for The Groove, not just for me, my family and my church, but for all of us.  We want to be a place where kids don't just come to grow in their dance skills, or to have great community, but to really experience His ever -present love for them, and be drawn deeper into His presence by that love and in turn learn how respond to such love- in everything they do outside of dance. But also, when we do dance- that we do it as an act of worship, an act of surrender, and act of war in the heavenly places- not by hype, but truly by His Spirit.

Things may get blurrier before they get clearer, but we know what awaits us on the other side of the fog. I'm definitely praying for clarity of vision. There can be so many good and great ideas out there, but truly seeking to know what are His.

Now to logistics....

WELCOME TO OUR NEW dance season WINTER/SPRING SEASON 2025!

Please be patient with us we navigate what it means to manage our own webpage, this is very "new" to us and we're having to rely on others more equipped in the tech world to lead us by the hand, looking at you Vadim, into this new aspect of things.

If your'e asking "Why all the fuss? Didn't things works good enough as we did before?"

Well, yes and no, but to explain further the idea behind it, one of goals to have a more central place of communication, thus, avoiding unnecessary emails filling your inbox. You're welcome. Insert smiley emoji.

Not that emails will not continue to happen, but it should definitely simplify things for us on the admin side. Plus I like thinking ahead to where we're headed to and this fits nicely into that bigger vision.

To add to that, this blog will enable us to share more than just dance related "info" , but it also will give us a platform to share more of our vision and heart, opening up the possibilities to engage with all of you- our amazing families, not to mention, will also serve well in letting you know what's cooking over here in THE GROOVE pots, beyond just deadlines and dates!
